Another awesome lightweight scope is the Trijicon TR20 AccuPoint 3-9X40. Its one of the best hunting scopes as it comes in at only 13.4OZ. Its a set it and forget it with caped turrets. The glass is crystal clear. You never have to change a battery out as its always on using tritium / fiber optic to light up a nice green center dot. Don't underestimate the capabilities of 3-9 magnification. I would say its good for shots from 10-600 yards. At 9x zoom you can take advantaged of the Mil-Dot crosshair reticle to do holdovers for those 600 yard shots
